Our Mission

To provide and maintain quality, safe, affordable housing and supportive services for those in need.

Our Goal

To provide the production capacity and support systems to develop quality housing across Delmarva and to create partnerships to accomplish our mission.

Our Present

Interfaith Housing Delmarva has been and is the largest developer of affordable housing on the Eastern Shore. It has a staff of three full time employees with two to seventeen years of service. There are currently seven Directors on the Board, three of whom have been involved since inception. To date Interfaith has produced over 550 safe, affordable dwelling units including new or renovated single-family, multi-family, and senior housing. Interfaith has served several thousand families and individuals totaling over $51 million. Interfaith owns and operates several multi-family and senior rental properties on Delmarva and has been the Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) for Maryland's Eastern Shore since 1993.

Our Future

Interfaith Housing Delmarva has several senior and handicapped units in the pipeline with plans to develop/preserve 500 housing units in the next 5 years. Interfaith Delmarva is community focused and engages the surrounding community in its projects, which increases economic growth and development. Interfaith Housing Delmarva, as a nonprofit organization, is able to take on more complicated projects than for-profit developers would be willing to undertake. Interfaith will continue to reinvest its resources into the communities it serves.

Our Role Together

We must all do our part to help our working families of modest means. If families can't afford to live in our communities they will not be able to teach in our schools, work in our stores, police our streets and be an active part of our communities. There are many ways to help, Interfaith Housing Delmarva is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that can provide letters of receipt for donations including cash, volunteering of professional services and land donations. Please call to find out how you can help in this very worthwhile mission.
